Iniada Villas are located just outside of Kalyves village, on the doorstep of the soft golden sands of Kyani Akti beach. A good supermarket is just 10 minutes walk (850m) from the villa so you will never run out of supplies. Kalyves village is about 2.5 kms away and has many amenities, tavernas and restaurants so you don’t have to go far to find all you need, as well as a beach and small harbour.

Just 350m away from the Villa, guests can see the point where Kyliaris River reaches the sea. The area around the river is very beautiful and suitable for walks. On the path, there is also a small church, surrounded by plane trees, offering shade to visitors and there are benches and tables making the place ideal for picnics. From the chapel you can follow the path along the river till the springs of Stylos through lush vegetation, watermills and water channels.

To the West, Chania town with its famous winding streets, Venetian harbour, its incredible architecture, cafes, fine dining restaurants is not to be missed and only a short drive from the villa. You can take boat trips from the harbour, enjoy the museums, or simply meander around this enchanting town. As dusk hits the town it becomes newly awakened and is certainly worth a visit.

The pretty seaside resort of Almyrida is just 6kms further along this stunning coastline and has an array of tavernas lining the promenade next to the shore.

The archeological site of Ancient Aptera is very close to the villa ( 8kms or 10 minutes by car) and provides stunning views across Souda bay. Once one of the largest and most powerful city states of Western Crete, this site is a pleasure to see and is less touristy than other sites.

For walkers or hikers, both Imbros Gorge (8kms long) and Samaria (18kms long) are nearby. Both offer stunning natural scenery and are a sight to behold.

Lake kournas, also nearby, known as “the Emerald lake’ is overlooked by tavernas. Rent a pedal or paddle boat and take a swim in the lake or try to spot the turtles which bob their heads above the water now and then for air.

Argiroupoli is famous for its natural springs and waterwheels. A lush green area, eat at one of its tavernas which are famous for their freshwater trout and walk or drive up to Lappa, a beautiful traditional and unspoilt village which is simply devine, simply Crete.

For families, Limnoupolis waterpark offers a fun day out and the Botanical park offers a lovely walk and local plant discovery along with a restaurant with fabulous views and home grown food.
